Nativity Play

Last Friday the twins did their Nativity Play at school. Bethany is the donkey - far left. Isabelle is an angel - far right. On Tuesday, the years 3 and 4 combined classes did their christmas church service/play. Adelaide was also an angel. If you look closely you will notice she has had her hair cut short.

Ready for a party

This weekend we went to our friend's birthday party. Grandma, I am wearing the blue dress and Bethany is in yellow. We had a good time with lots of games.

Christmas Fayre

Today we went to the Christmas Fayre at school. I sang in the choir with my friends. I saw Santa when he came and opened the fayre. In the picture are my friends Sophie, Alexandra and Chloe. Last week we performed in the Christmas concert for dancing together. I did two dances - tap and modern. I am looking forward to coming home.

Prague

Here is a photo of me in Prague. We stayed in a nice hotel that had a kids playground and a computer so we could play on the internet. We went on a tram ride and listened to some people playing music on the bridge. It was cold and I had to buy a new pair of gloves.

The Ireland Adventure !

2 weeks ago we went to Ireland. We got there by plane. When we got there we got a campervan. We drove around for a week looking at gardens and castles.

We stayed overnight next to a beach. On the beach we saw a dead seal.

We did lots of exciting things. We went to a pub for dinner and I had a shepherds pie and yummie chocolate icecream.

I am on holidays at the moment. Tomorrow Dad and me are going to Oxford. We are going to stay at a B&B farm. We are leaving the twins and mum at home.

It is also Haloween month. I am going to Chloe's place (she is my friend) and we are going to a Haloween dance then we bight be going to go trick-or-treating.

dover is fun

On the weekend we went to Dover. We walked along the white cliffs of Dover. along the way I found bits of white chalk. We also found a couple of tunnels and places where you could hide in.

We went with friends of Mum and Dad. They were called Sam and Jem. We stayed at their house. They had all of the Wallis and Grommets videos.

We also went to Dover Castle. At 4pm we went through the war time tunnels. When we went through there were funny noises and the lights flickered on and off. It scared me. There was a quiz that I filled in.

On the last day went for a walk around Canterbury town.

School

After our holiday I had to go back to school which was OK as I wanted to see my friends. I am now in year 3 and have a new teacher who is a man. My sisters also started school but I dont see them as they play at a different time.

I still like my maths and am reading lots of hard books.

I am looking forward to my birthday which is in a few days. I am having a party and inviting lots of friends over.

My trip to Scotland

We have just got back from a fun time away in Scotland. I enjoyed going to the highland games where we saw people playing bag pipes and the highland dancing. There were fun rides there as well and I won a prize.

We spent 2 nights by a beach where I met Amara. We played together and got mum to make a fire. I rode a small pony bare back and fed him carrots.

The campervan was fun and I got to sleep on a bunk by myself. It had a kitchen, toilet and even a shower.

We visited lots of castles and drove a lot.

It is my birthday soon and I am having a party at Warmwell that has roller skating. I am inviting friends from my school

We went to London

I forgot to tell you that we went to London a few weeks ago. While we were there we went to a place where they made life size people made out of plastic and they looked real. They had real hair, shoes clothes and everything. I didnt like the scary bit where we went on a taxi and it took us into the dark which had scary things. I liked the movie that was up on the big roof.

We also went to a natural history museum and looked at lots of dinosaur bones. There was also a dinosaur that moved and my sisters thought it was real because it roared. After that we went to a Science museum. There was lots of space ships. One showed us what it was like landing on the moon. There was big playing area with lots of science things to do. One of them was a huge bubble machine. There was also science show. I got to go up the front.

I had a great time in London and would like to go back some day.

I have learnt a fact on dinosaurs. Human smelling bit of our brains is as big as a pea. A dinosaurs smelling bit of the brain is as big as an orange.

I am on holidays at the moment. In September I am going into year3. I will have a man called Mr Meachan.

We are having a fantastic time but I miss you all very much. Nearly time to come back to Australia.
From Adelaide

My week in France

This week I headed of to France with Mum, Dad, Isabelle and Bethany. We went on a plane for a very short time. We then drove to our resort which took about 2 hours. The resort was great. There was 2 pools, 2 parks, shops, a great water slide and a divingboard. The pool also had a wave machine.

I went to kids club on 2 days. I made lots of friends and some even spoke english. I learnt some french such as bonjour, bonsoir, oui and counting - un, deux, trois and quatre.

There was a bmx show and also a circus with lots of animals (I liked the clowns!!).

While we were there we went to a beach at Cannes and went for a swim. Mum forgot my swimmers so I went in my clothes. We also went to small villages and I even had to use a strange french toilet.

I would like to go back there one day but I did miss my friends.

Fun Things

A couple of weeks ago we went to Sherwood Forest. We got to see where Robin Hood lived. We now have swords just like he did. After that we went and visited Lucy and Steven and William and Penny and Christopher and we played on their trampoline. The next weekend we went to Legoland. We (Bethany and Isabelle) like the princess play the best and Adelaide liked the Rollercoaster the best. I think mum and dad liked the miniland the best. This week we had one of Adelaides friends called Sophie come to play. It was fun. Yesterday we went to the fate at Adelaides school. It was lots of fun and we rode on a horse. We also went on a train ride, watched the dancers and painted a rock. Mum bought us ladybird umbrellas which we love. Today we went to a beach called Lyme Regis. It had big pebbles up one end and sand at the other. We found fossils in the rocks and we made sandcastles. Today was also fathers day so we made daddy breakfast in bed. We have also been on a field trip to visit Adelaide's school to see what going to big school is like.

Sea-Life Park

This weekend I went to sea-life park. Daddy didnt come because he went to London to the flower show. We went and saw lots of animals that could hurt you such as jelly fish that sting. We also saw the rays and sharks. There were penguines who were diving in the water and seals. I touched a crab but he didnt bite me. They were spider crabs - I think because they looked like spiders but they were real crabs.

Then we went to a water park that had a pool and lots of sprinklers. There were slides and I made a big splash. It was a bit cold for the twins but not for me.

Having FUN

Today was my sisters birthday. They turned 4 years old. We had a cake and they got lots of presents (Sometimes they didnt share but that is ok).

School has been fun. I have been making a little pretend garden made out of paper and glue and seeds. We are also learning about old and new weymouth. Dad likes telling people about the history of places we go.

I have also been learning to play football. I have learned 'renaldo' which is when you bounce the ball on your head. I played in a game against the boys and the girls won. I got 4 goals.

I have lots of friends. Some of them are coming over in the half term.

Visiting Sherborne Castle

On Saturday we went to Sherborne Castle. We walked around the castle along a nice river. I saw three white ducks. Then we went for a walk in the gardens. There were lots of ducks there who followed us until they realised we had no food for them.

Jemma left today and we had a goodbye lunch just like my farewell party at school when I left Australia.

A special message for Jared and Hanah - Are you enjoying school? Hope you enjoy your cold winter. We are going in to summer.

Dragons and Shields

This weekend we went to the Abbey. We made some shields - I made one in the shape of Australia with water around it. It looked fantastic. We saw two funny men. One taught me how to weave like they did in the old days. The other funny man told us about the history of the Abbey. We listened to a story about St George and also went on a hunt in the museum.

Then we went to Cheddar George. (I think they should have called it Cheddar Cheese). Dad and me climbed very high - about 100 metres up the rocks.

It was a good weekend.

I am missing everyone.

We visited the queen

The whole family went to London for three days. We visited lots of places including big ben - a really big clock, Buckingham Palace - where the queen lives, and London Eye - a really big wheel.

The best part was London Tower. There were people who were pretending to be the king and queen acting.

I also liked watching the change of the guards. There were lots of horses and men in funny hats. This is a phot of me and my sister trying to make the man laugh.

Today we went to a big castle called Lulworth. We went for an easter egg hunt - i found 1 egg.

We were laughing at the mad hatter who was reading us a story with Alice. We made a scary face and made him suck his thumb saying "I want my moma". I also made bunny ears which we wore.

The Mad Hatter was very crazy.

The castle was not broken down like corf castle we went to before.

Magic stones

This is me at a place called Stonehenge. It was very old. They kept rebuilding it. There were these phone things that you put around your neck that told you all about the history. Each time you found a number you would press it on the machine and it would tell you about what you were looking at.

My sisters were just pretenting they were real phones and talked to each other.

My moms mom is here (I call her Jemma). She came with us.

The best part of the day was all the things I learnt from listening to the machine.

Corf Castle

Today we went to Corf Castle. We got their by an old steam train. When we got there we found a tower. We guessed what used to be in it - I think there was stairs for men to watch out for bad people. There were also holes in the wall which people shot arrows through.

There was also a jester performing. It was fun. He juggled when standing on a ball and juggled knives over children. Lucky he did not do it over me.

Before we went home we went to a cafe and had a hot chocolate and scons. It was yummy !

We caught a train back home.

HELLO 2W and FRIENDS

This week at school we had a Easter egg hunt. I got three egg for me and one each for my sisters. We also made puppets .

Today we went to a place called Poole. There were lots of boats.

Next week is the last week of school before the holidays. In the holidays we are going to visit London to see the Queen.

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day (which in England is today 18th of March) we went to the Abbotsbury Childrens farm. I got to ride a horse. The horse's name was Misty and she was 32 years old. We also saw goats, cows, ducks and guinea pigs and one rabbit. We got to feed the guinea pigs. My sisters also got to ride on a small horse (a shetland pony called Ned). Yesterday we went to a sheep farm and saw a lamb being born. It was smelly and I didn't like it. It had a great garden with lots of secret rooms. It was a fun.

My School

This is a picture of me in my school uniform on my first day at my new school which is St Andrews Public School. There are a couple of things that are the same about school here like:-
* we get to play on the equipment (but they call it the adventure playground)
* we do literacy
* we get homework on a monday and we take it back to school on friday.
* we get to go on the computer.
There is also lots of things that are different like:-
* We eat our morning tea and lunch inside (and we get a piece of fruit in the afternoon just before we go home)
* We get to play three times during the day (and on Friday we get 4 plays)
* The school is all in one big building, shaped like a wing and we do most things inside (because it is really cold!)

Some girls I am friends with are Samantha, Emily, Charolette and Georgia. The boys are mostly silly. This week was science week and we got to dress up on Friday. I dressed up as a nurse. I also made mum a mothers day card with a chocolate in the middle because it is mothers day today here (Sunday 18th of March).

Animal Farm

We have lots of animals around where we live. On the way to school I see:-

* horses

* cows

* sheep

* chikens

* a shetland pony (but i call it a minature pony)

There is also a donkey like in Shrek!

I miss you everyone!!

PS from Adelaides mum - I even had to slow down on the way to pick up Adelaide from school today whilst 3 ducks wandered up the road. In England the animals seem to have right of way.

The park

Today I went to the park and I saw some swans. They were pretty. I almost got to pat one. We saw a big church. I saw animal skin with writing on it. It was very very old and a bit funny because we normally write on paper. Dad said it was 600 years ols caled the Magna Carta.
